Available Birds, Chicks, and Eggs

We are dedicated to bringing you quality, hen-raised peafowl and as such, we usually only have a few birds available on any given year. Chicks become available to take home when they are roughly three months old, which is typically around October, but may be listed here early. Regardless of appearance on this page, they are not available for pickup until 3 months of age.
  • Prices on young peacocks generally range from $100-250, depending on color, pattern, sex, and quality. Discounts may apply to some multiple-bird purchases.
  • We do not typically sell peahens by themselves- hens are sold in a 1.1 pair with a male, or sometimes 1.2 trios, unless we only have hens left. When we have solo-hens available, they will be $200-300, depending on color, pattern, and quality.
  • Adult peafowl of breeding age range from $300-500 depending on color, pattern, sex, and quality.
  • All birds are local pickup by default, I do not ship through any mail service. Delivery within 8 hours (one way) of our farm may be paid for at a rate of $15/hour to pay for gas and time. This includes driving time to you and back, so a location 2 hours from us will owe $60 (4 hours), and so on. Delivery over 8 hours (one way) is available at a rate of $15/hr (gas and time) + $100 (lodging) per overnight needed.
  • We can deliver multiple birds in a single trip, saving you money per bird. Our transport can move up to 8 birds in a single trip.

If you are interested in claiming a bird early, please contact us via email, and we can set up a paid hold. Paid holds count toward the total for the animal and guarantee you will get your chosen bird, but they are non-refundable unless something happens to the bird while it is still in our care. Otherwise all birds are cash on pickup.

2025 Chicks

These are blue males out of Earl Grey and Heather/Wendy. They have a 50% chance to carry the imported European Violet mutation, but should carry no other mutations. They were hatched in May of 2025.

The European Violet color was imported to the USA in 2023, from Europe. There are currently only two breeders offering stock- Spring Creek Peafowl and Legg's Peafowl. The mutation in full runs around $2,000/bird, while splits run $700+. Mine are priced at $150 because they may or may not carry it (they have a 50% chance to carry it, but that means they also have a 50% chance to not carry it). If they carry it, you're getting an incredible deal on a brand new color. If they don't, you're still getting fresh genetics from Europe, unrelated to most birds in the USA- this is a boon to anyone hoping to improve their bloodline, or do to clean outcrosses. Since the EV gene is sex-linked, if they carry it, you will see European violet daughters from them, even if they are bred to a blue.

Eggs

On average, we have about a dozen hatching eggs available per year, with some available at the start of the season (typically April/May) before our birds set nests, and some available at the end of the season (June/July/August) from birds that didn't set a nest during the first round of laying- sometimes this is a few birds, sometimes this is no birds.

If you are interested in hatching eggs, please contact us or add yourself to the mailing list BEFORE MARCH 1ST, to be notified when eggs become available.

Hatching eggs will be first paid, first served and must be picked up ASAP. As we have no control over your handling or incubation practices, we make no guarantees except that the eggs come from our pens with fertile males.

Hollow Shells

We also offer hollow eggshells for artists to paint, carve, or otherwise decorate (think pysanky eggs) or for vulture-culture enthusiasts to collect. These eggs are available through our Etsy page, but can also be purchased directly through e-mail for a discounted price, since we don't have to pay Etsy fees. These eggs are ones we cannot hatch (infertile or from rescue pens) or that did not grow during incubation (dud eggs the hens sat on). They have been cleaned, drained, rinsed, and dried by hand by me. They are blown using a tool made for it, so have just one small hole on the bottom, but dud eggs may also have faded graphite remnants on top, from where they were dated in the nest.

Single eggs are $10 (shipping is included anywhere in the continental USA).
Multiple eggs are $5/ea + shipping.
